The evening's highlight features the extraordinary Elizabeth Pitcairn performing Dvořák's sweeping Violin Concerto in A Minor on the legendary Red Mendelssohn Stradivarius. Pitcairn's virtuosic artistry combined with one of the world's most celebrated instruments promises an unforgettable performance. With her commanding stage presence and the Stradivarius's incomparable voice, expect several surprise encores that will leave you spellbound.
Elizabeth Pitcairn
Celebrated American violin virtuoso Elizabeth Pitcairn has earned a stunning reputation as one of America's most beloved soloists. Ms. Pitcairn made her New York debut at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall in 2000 with the New York String Orchestra and appeared as soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra at the Academy of Music. She has performed at Carnegie Hall and Walt Disney Concert Hall and in many countries around the world including China, Hong Kong, Hungary, Romania, Switzerland, Italy, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Bulgaria, Russia, Slovenia, and the Netherlands.
She has tours regularly with the Tahoe Symphony, including Austria, the Czech Republic, and Poland. Ms. Pitcairn performs in partnership with one of the world's most legendary instruments, the Red Mendelssohn Stradivarius of 1720, said to have inspired the Academy award-winning film "The Red Violin." Ms. Pitcairn appears on the 10th anniversary edition of "The Red Violin"– Meridian Collection in a special feature documentary interview.

Dr. Phoenix Delgado brings transformative leadership and artistic vision honed through decades of exceptional achievement across multiple disciplines. As a Mexican-American conductor, flautist, vocalist, and arts executive, he combines prestigious artistic credentials—including performances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, collaborations with Michael Tilson Thomas and Grammy-winning artists, and leadership of the Franco-American Chamber Music Festival—with proven success in organizational growth and community engagement.
